Earlswood Homes are submitting a planning application for:
21
new homes
1
land for a new doctors surgery
1
school playing ground
At the below land south of Station Road in Groombridge.
This application takes into account the issues that were raised during the previous application process on this site and it will make a valuable contribution to Groombridge.

The proposal
The site proposes:

-
21 Homes, including bungalows, detached houses, semi-detached and flats.
-
7 affordable homes.
-
Land for a new doctors surgery.
-
Playing fields for the school.
-
Public open space.
The land for the new doctors surgery would be gifted to the NHS Trust and would enable them to deliver a new dedicated facility for the village.
The playing fields would be gifted to the school and would create valuable play space for them in perpetuity.
Groombridge St Thomas' Church of England School have limited outside space onsite at present, and the provision of open space on the development site would be a significant improvement to the facilities on offer at the school. The School have expressed an interest in having a forest school area, and space has been set aside for this to be provided. This will upgrade the school's facilities and improve students' experience.

Earlswood Homes build high quality homes that respond to their surroundings. We do not use standard one size fits all house types, and the designs for Groombridge will take their inspiration from the styles already in the village. The above images show a sample of homes already delivered by Earlswood Homes on other sites and show the variety and local style that can be created.
The Future
It is important to clarify that this site is NOT phase 1 of a larger scheme and there are no proposals whatsoever to submit proposals for any further expansion of the site.
The medical centre will be developed under a separate application by the NHS Trust.
The playing fields will be passed to the school in perpetuity.
